The Hip Nut project is about creating a diverse, multi-cultural, holiday production that appeals to a wide range of audiences. The show puts a contemporary spin on the Nutcracker Ballet and incorporating Hip Hop, lyrical, salsa, gymnastics and MANY other styles of dance. The performance will be held at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York, Pennsylvania on Friday, December 8th at 7:30 P.M.
Attorney Jeff Bellomo will be dancing in the shopping scene as a tourist, as well as a special role as the teacher, trying to get his students to listen during class. He ultimately gives up and breaks it down, hip hop style with his students. It is hilarious and a lot of fun!
Heidi Thomas, who is the firm’s Director of First Impressions, is also dancing in the shopping scene, along with Jeff. Heidi’s role is to get the adults to loosen up and just have fun through dance.
Finally, Jennah Motter, who is Miss York County, 2017 and the firm’s Medicaid specialist, is a co-director of The Hip Nut, helping to write and choreograph the show. You can find her dancing in the toy scene as Barbie.
Please consider coming in support of the non-profit organization, Greater York Dance and the performing arts in York County. We hope that you can be there to enjoy watching some people of the firm, that you know and love, in a bit of a different light, December 8th at 7:30 P.M.
