Our workshops are fun and entertaining ways to learn! We provide you with the information to decide what is right for you. If after attending, you decide we aren’t the right fit – no problem! You’ll never feel any pressure from our team.
Meg Motter, Client Care Advocate and team lead for Bellomo & Associates’ Life Care Planning program will educate attendees about the importance of proactively planning for their future care needs, especially for those who wish to remain at home, aging in place. Meg will address the physical, financial, and legal challenges faced by families supporting an elderly or disabled adult living in the community and will equip attendees with information about community services, in-home supports, public benefits, and higher levels of care, including assisted living and skilling nursing facilities. Attendees will leave the event armed with lots of stories and a treasure chest filled with pearls of wisdom that Meg has gained in her 35+ years helping seniors remain in the least restrictive setting of their choosing.

Proper estate planning helps your family avoid time in court, maintain control of your assets, avoid family disputes and minimize delays and costs.

In this complementary workshop, you’ll gain an understanding of the three different “lands” of Estate Planning that you need to be aware of. What to do, and what not to do to protect your assets for your heirs and future generations.

And …. We’ll answer all your questions you have at the end!

Some common questions we get around estate planning:

  • What is Estate Planning?
  • What do you mean by “The Three Lands” of Estate Planning?
  • What is probate court and how or why should I avoid it?
  • What are some of the common mistakes made in Estate Planning?
  • What happens if I don’t have a plan?
  • What’s the difference between a Will and a Trust?
  • When do I need to update an Estate Plan?
  • Can I do my Estate Planning myself?
Bellomo & Associates has years of first-hand experience with helping families and individuals navigate the complexities of Estate Planning. It’s important to have a well-informed and well-structured plan to protect not just yourself, but your loved ones and your assets in the event of incapacity of passing.

In this complimentary workshop we’ll give you valuable information in plain language about how you can protect your family from long-term care costs. If you have a need to discuss nursing care and Medicaid, but the current listed workshop does not suit your schedule, please contact our office immediately to hear other ways that our office can help get your questions answered and you supported.

You’ll discover some of the biggest misconceptions of Medicaid, such as:

  • If you need Medicaid, they can take away your home.
  • You have to give assets away to protect them from Medicaid.
  • If you give away your assets, you have to wait 60 months to qualify for Medicaid.

Plus, you’ll also discover:

  • All the “must knows” to successful Medicaid planning.
  • The unforeseen pitfalls to trying to apply for Medicaid.
  • The reasons you should never put assets into your children’s names.
  • Why your current power of attorney may be useless if someone needs to act on your behalf to protect your assets.
  • And much, much more….

If you, or a loved one, is worried that they cannot safely remain at home because they need more and more help? Or you’ve wondered if you will be able to afford care? Maybe you’re not in crisis now, but want to get ahead of the game and make sure you’ve done all you can to protect your family?

This workshop is an important introduction to the issues facing families who may need long-term care and do not know if they can afford it.

Bellomo & Associates gives you and your family vital information where we address the most critical issues in long-term care planning based on their 13+ years of personal and professional experience.

I dreaded the thought of estate planning and put it off for years. To my pleasant surprise, working with Bellomo & Associates was wonderful. The process was efficient, all of my questions were answered and the cost was reasonable.

My husband and I have been clients of Bellomo and Associates for about a decade. We have found Jeff and all of his staff to be extremely helpful, respectful, and courteous no matter what questions and concerns we bring to them. They are knowledgeable and always willing to offer assistance as needed. We know that we can count on them for timely advice which has been well researched. I have recommended the firm to a number of family members and friends, some of whom have also become clients of Bellomo and Associates. Job well done!!

The staff and Bellomo & Associates, LLC are amazing to work with. They are understanding, kind, patient, and I could go on and on. They were so helpful with the process of getting my father approved for Medicaid after he suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. They helped us make sure my mother could stay in their home. They also assisted me when I needed help navigating the process to bring my father back home from a nursing facility through the waiver program. I highly recommend the Bellomo team!! The Medicaid paralegal that I worked with has also become a friend. We still stay in touch with each other - She really went above and beyond to help me and guide me in any way possible.

This firm is very customer service oriented which is important when you're working with older adults. Jeff Bellomo and his team are focused on giving back to the community through volunteer work and sponsorships of many local charities. They also partner with local, like-minded organizations to educate and inform. In addition, they provide regular workshops not only for potential customers, but also for professionals. These workshops cover various topics and are highly sought after. I'm pleased to recommend Bellomo and Associates!
