The Eagle

UntitledIn March of 2016 Paul Waclo, a local wood carver, carved the beautiful eagle in front of the office at Bellomo and Associates on East Market Street. I am always amazed at how many people even today will stop their cars in front of our office (even in the middle of the street) to get out and take pictures of the eagle.

Parents will put their kids in front of the eagle or on the eagle to be able to take pictures.

I did the wood carving as a tribute to my mother, who passed away at the end of 2015. Paul was thoughtful enough to carve a little bench into the eagle to allow me to sit and spend time with my mother. It is very rare that a morning goes by without me sitting with my mom before I go into the office, to thank her for molding the man that I am, and also just to think about her.

We are often busy with day-to-day life and forget to take a minute to tell the people around us that we love them. The eagle means so much to me and to my family, and I will never be able to repay Paul for what he has given me.

Thank you doesn't seem enough, but on behalf of my entire family and me, thank you for giving us the ability to connect and be with my mom every day through this beautiful piece of art.
