Irene earned her B.A. in History at Elizabethtown College and membership to Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society. She continued her studies in Wilmington, Delaware where she earned her J.D. at Widener University School of Law.
During her law school years, Irene worked as a law clerk for a sole practitioner with a varied civil practice. After graduation, she returned to her home state and was admitted into the Pennsylvania Bar. She worked with Franklin County Legal Services, Inc. for a brief period, then moved to York County. As an associate attorney, Irene practiced primarily in the areas of estate planning and administration, business transactions and real estate law.
Irene opted for inactive status when she stopped practicing law for an extended period. During those years, her time was filled with family pursuits, working with her husband at his accounting firm and various volunteer activities.
In the spring of 2017, she began working at Bellomo & Associates as a part-time Legal Assistant while she completed the requirements to reactivate her license to practice law. Irene was recently reinstated to practice law and will continue her employment as a part-time Associate Attorney. She is particularly interested in estate and elder law as well as the business aspect of law firm operations.
Irene lives in York Township with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys baking, reading, movies, and spending time at the beach.
